The Burlington Beaujolais Run 2009 - From Reims to Gueux

Teams awoke to yet another sunny start. After a leisurely breakfast teams headed to their third and final historic circuit; Reims-Gueux. The local Gendarmes encouraged teams to 'enjoy' their vehicles on the famous start finish straight and ensured that there were no mishaps.

Approaching Calais, the teams met typically wintery British weather and boarded Eurotunnel to reminisce their fun filled five days. Some thoughts turned to the great John Surtees OBE and his endeavour on the previous Tuesday morning.

Six cars left the pack and headed north. Three Aston Martin DBS', two Lotus' and a Jaguar E Type were headed for The Ritz Club and Casino at the kind invitation of Tim Cullimore its Chief Executive to repatriate the first land borne bottle of this year's harvest. After a fight through London's manic traffic, the vehicles arrived victorious outside the Ritz to the flashbulbs of the awaiting press on Picadilly.
