Prize giving in Champagne

A sumptuous dinner awaited at Tailltinger's Chateau De La Marquetterie. An aperitif of Comtes de Champagne was followed by Prelude, Folie de La Marquetterie, Domaine Carneros and Nocturne Rose.

The Run had held a minutes silence at the RAC club for the victims of Paris. This evening, rather unusually, the competitors were able to wear their fancy dress for dinner. This had been held over from Wednesday as a mark of respect.
Bristol Cars rewarded their competing owners with a gift for bringing their beautiful vehicles in celebration of the marque.
During dinner Malcolm Barber spoke about some of the stranger things he had auctioned, and also some of the most exclusive. Patron John Surtees OBE waxed lyrical about his time at Ferrari and his love of Champagne.
The attention then turned to the charity auction where some amazing lots fell under Malcolm Barber's Gavel.
Prize giving revealed that the GT1 maps class outshone GT2 sat nav, and that there were many stories of this epic roadtrip to be had.
As competitors left the Cotes des Blancs, spirits were high
