'Run launches at Goodwood in style....

The Beaujolais Run® returned to Goodwood Motor Circuit with a bang this evening! A collection of eclectic metal synonymous with the West Sussex location conveyed the 2016 'Runners to the launch party for this year's event.

On arrival, teams competing in the '16 Run signed on, pledged their sponsor money and collected their bespoke John Partridge clothing. Yet again, the team wear sponsor had excelled with a new rugby shirt and gilet combo for all, after last year debuting with coats for all.

After a Champagne and Canapé reception, the focus in the Jackie Stewart Pavillion was moved upstairs for the evening's fun to begin. Bespoke 'Run tailors Rose and White were present to show their fine cloths and the room fell quite with expectation.

As the event details unfolded, the teams met 'Run legend Anthony Reid, who would entertain them in Reims the following night, and en route to Eurotunnel. Tiff Needell stepped forward to reveal he would be starting the tenth anniversary run at Goodwood by driving the DB11 pace car to lap the circuit in front of the competitors. He waxed lyrical on all things automotive and drew many laughs.

A new range of 'Run benefits were outlined including discounts from Passavant and Lee, Rose and White and John Partridge including an exciting new development for the 'Run.

On show were the three briefcases that will each carry back a bottle of Taittinger Champagne, Louis Latour Burgundy and Georges DuBoeuf Beaujolais Nouveau to three lucky celebrities.

A Louis Latour wine tasting was tutored by Guy Nightingale, and 'Runners got to explore two wines at length and understand their individual complexities. Guy also explained the terroir of Burgundy and wished all well for meeting the Latour family later in the week.

The evening drew to a close with all content, excited and eager to make new friends and catch up with old ones. All assembled left to party at The Goodwood Hotel where Tiff and Anthony kept them entertained with stories of daring do. The circuit fell quiet until the morning.......
