Harwoods launch Hackett Beaujolais Run 2006!
11:25PM 13 Nov 2006
We were treated to a preview of tomorrow's event start. Not only the personalities but the selection of cars gathered on Harwoods forecourt. Ferrari, Porsche, Lotus, Aston Martin and a even a 1958 Peerless made an appearance.
Competitors were able to size up their rally rivals and perhaps even drop in a challenge or two as Chris Grimes (Hotels.tv) did on Jason Dawe. Jason seemed up for it then remembered he came last in a previous event. Steve Berry however wasn't so fazed and I think he and co-driver Anthony Reid just may have a few surprises for the field. Keep and eye on Josh and that Gang of Super Heroes piled into the Ford Galaxy - not only highest fundraisers for several years these guys are sure to make some headlines come Wednesday!
Tommorrow (Tuesday) sees cars meet early trackside at Goodwood for a bacon butty. Once Damon flags them off, around 9am, teams head off for leisurely parade via Eurotunnel through Northern France. This is a real chance to see the teams getting warmed up for the big day Wednesday. We will be video streaming the action directly to you as soon as we can during the course of the day.
