Well this is what we've been waiting for ... Reims to Macon, 5 stages, 60 cars ... .who can do it in the least miles!!!
The majority left Tattinger at 8:00am and all in fancy dress. As per usual, we had a few problems on the way down ... An Aston Martin running out of fuel (fuel starvation as it was called!)
Harrison & Wade of Hotels.TV "ONCE AGAIN" having difficulties as they managed to swing the back end of their Porsche 911 in the muddy fields and got stuck. Divine Intervention came in the form of John Riley in his 4x4, luckily on the same trek as them. They soon dragged them to safety!
The first car to arrive at the Novotel in Macon was the Porsche Cayenne followed by the Free Lander and in 3rd ... The Subaru Impreza.
In the evening we were all coached to Chateau des Ravatys for reception drinks in the wine cellar followed by celebratory dinner.
We then experienced the open air, enjoying local celebrations and fireworks at the traditional Beaujolais Release Fete.
